Scam information

L&G has been made aware of unaffiliated parties claiming to represent Legal & General Group, L&G or our Asset Management business formerly known as Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) operating a fraudulent trading platform. Fraudulent website domains using similar naming conventions to L&G's genuine domains are being used to facilitate the scam. 

We understand this scam is currently targeting investors across Europe and Asia and is promoted via adverts on social media; these may include AI generated videos of local celebrities endorsing it. It has been reported that most contact between victims and the fraudsters is facilitated using WhatsApp and similar instant messaging services. Please note, L&G will never communicate with its customers via WhatsApp or similar services (e.g. Telegram).
